Afro-Soul artiste Chike has unveiled a new single, Pity My Soul, amid growing online discussions linking him to an alleged relationship with Sandra Onyenucheya.
The release comes as the singer faces criticism on social media over unverified reports involving Onyenucheya, who is separated from television host Frank Edoho.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the song features Chike’s elder brother, Syemca, and has been released across major digital streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Audiomack and YouTube Music.
“Pity My Soul” blends contemporary R&B with Afro-Soul influences and centres on themes of emotional struggle, vulnerability and reflection.
Prior to the release, Chike shared a brief message on his verified X account, @officialchike, posting the phrase: “Pity My Soul!”
The cryptic message prompted speculation among fans, many of whom connected the song to the ongoing controversy surrounding the singer.
Chike has yet to publicly comment on the allegations involving Sandra Onyenucheya.
The release timing has continued to divide public opinion online.
Some listeners believe the singer may be using music as a medium to express his emotions amid the criticism, while others argue the release forms part of a calculated promotional strategy to increase the song’s visibility.
Regardless of the debate, the single has already attracted considerable attention across social media and music streaming platforms.
