Stakeholders have called on the media to play a central role in promoting the ARISE Agenda of Governor Umo Eno’s administration in Akwa Ibom State.

Delivering a keynote address at the event, Dr Emmanuel Abraham said the media should help translate government policies into practical benefits for citizens.

He described the media as a key partner in the success of the ARISE Agenda, urging journalists to embrace developmental reporting.

“The media should support to transform the agenda from a policy document to lived and living experiences for the government and people of the state,” he said.

Abraham also called for sustained public enlightenment to help citizens better understand the objectives and philosophy of the policy framework.

He noted that simplifying governance messages would help ordinary people appreciate government programmes more effectively.
