The management of the Federal Capital Territory Internal Revenue Service (FCT-IRS) has reaffirmed its commitment to operational stability, staff welfare and strategic revenue growth.
This is contained in a statement issued by the service in Abuja on Tuesday.
The management said the statement was to clarify recent reports about planned disruptions by unauthorised external actors.
It said the service remained committed to its mandate of fiscal excellence.
“The FCT-IRS maintains a productive and cordial relationship with its official staff union, and there are currently no internal disputes.
“We wish to state categorically that any attempt by unauthorised individuals to incite unrest or interfere with the service’s smooth operation will be addressed with the full weight of the law.
“The integrity of our tax administration is paramount and will be protected.
“All members of staff are urged to remain focused and disregard any misinformation or external threats,” the statement said.
The management said it had put in place comprehensive measures to ensure a secure and conducive working environment.
“Your safety remains our priority as you continue your lawful duties without fear of intimidation.
“The management remains open to constructive dialogue and sustained engagement with staff representatives.
“All concerns should continue to be channeled through appropriate and recognised platforms to ensure effective and lasting resolutions,” the statement added.
