Nasir Bala Aminu-Ja’oji, a political ally of President Bola Tinubu, has emerged as the APC flag bearer for the House of Representatives seat in Tarauni Federal Constituency, Kano State.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by Adamu Iliyasu-Hotoro, Information Officer of Tarauni Local Government Area.
Iliyasu-Hotoro said the Chairman of the Consensus Committee, Prof. Halilu Bello-Rogo, announced Aminu-Ja’oji as the party’s candidate at the conclusion of the consensus meeting held at the APC Secretariat in Tarauni Local Government.
He explained that, following affirmation, the committee confirmed Aminu-Ja’oji as the candidate who would represent the APC in the forthcoming House of Representatives election for Tarauni Federal Constituency.
“The committee followed all APC guidelines to ensure unity and peaceful coexistence among members,” he stated.
The chairman urged APC supporters across Tarauni LGA to unite and give the candidate full support to secure victory in the election.
Speaking after monitoring the reconciliation process, INEC representatives in Kano State, Buhari Ahmed, Hajiya Nazifa Muhammad from Abuja, and Bashir Tanimu-Saulawa from Tarauni LGA, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the meeting for the House of Representatives seat.
On his part, the Chairman, Tarauni LGA, Alhaji Ahmed Ibrahim-Sekure, and APC Chairman in Tarauni LGA, Sani Usman, also reaffirmed their commitment to fostering unity among party members.
The meeting was attended by heads of security agencies, including the Department of Security Service (DSS), Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corpse (NSCDC), Nigeria Police Force, as well as APC leaders and members from across Tarauni LGA.
