Dangote’s Refinery Takes Centre Stage at Nasarawa Trade Fair

The Dangote Refinery and Petrochemical Company will headline Africa’s leading conglomerate’s participation at the 2026 Nasarawa Trade Fair, which begins on 20 April in Lafia.

Governor Abdullahi Sule will officially declare the event open, with Dangote Industries Limited also presenting its Vision 2030 – a strategic blueprint for innovation and industrialisation across the continent.

Dangote Group is the principal sponsor of the Nasarawa Trade Fair and Exhibition (NASTFE), themed: Unlocking Industrial Synergy: Deepening the Value Chain and Driving Inclusive Growth in Nasarawa State.

Group spokesman Anthony Chiejina confirmed that other strategic business units – including Dangote Cement, Dangote Sugar, Dangote Salt and seasonings, Dangote SinoTruk, Dangote Packaging, and Dangote Fertiliser – will be on display.

Fatima Wali Abdurrahman, Regional Director and Senior Adviser to the Group President, described Nasarawa as pivotal to the group’s African portfolio. “It is home to Dangote’s Nasarawa Sugar Company Limited. When completed, the sugar project will be among Africa’s largest sugar investments,” she said.

Mrs Wali-Abdurrahman noted that the trade fair provides a critical engagement platform, with a dedicated help desk to manage inquiries from potential partners and the public.

Nidan Sambo Manasseh, chairman of NASSI’s Nasarawa chapter, said the fair’s theme mirrors Dangote’s industrial vision. “We align strongly with Aliko Dangote, whose leadership continues to shape Nigeria’s economic future,” he told reporters.

He added that the third NASTFE is more than an exhibition – it is a development platform featuring the Empowerment Skill Acquisition Programme, a mobile training scheme reaching 2,000 beneficiaries across 13 local government areas. “Our strategy is to align local enterprise development with large-scale industrial systems,” he concluded.
