Investors Urged To Explore Yobe’s Rich Resources

Export-focused non-governmental organisations have hailed an upcoming book highlighting Yobe State’s economic potential, urging investors to tap into the state’s natural and commercial resources.

The book, An Insight on Export Potentials and Investment Opportunities in Yobe State Vision 2030: The Indigenous Export Initiative for Economic Advancement, is written by Muhammad Alwali Kazir and is billed for launch on March 26 after the Ramadan fasting period.

Adebayo Olaosebikan disclosed this while receiving members of the book launch committee in Abuja.

He said the publication provides detailed information on investment opportunities in Yobe State and seeks to drive internal revenue generation through export-oriented activities.

Kazir is the son of a former military governor of Kwara State and former Chief of Army Staff who served during the administrations of former military presidents Ibrahim Babangida and Sani Abacha.

Olaosebikan noted that the book outlines various mineral deposits, agricultural produce and other natural endowments in Yobe State.

According to him, the work also reflects historical development efforts initiated during the Babangida era which positioned the state for economic growth.

A member of the launch committee, Salihu Dantata Mahmud, described the publication as a strategic guide capable of attracting both foreign and domestic investors to the state.

Mahmud, a media practitioner and former aide to a minister of interior, said the book presents viable opportunities that could enhance economic diversification in the North-East.

He added that Yobe remains relatively peaceful and safe for business operations, stressing that improved infrastructure under Governor Mai Mala Buni has created an enabling environment for investors.

Mahmud expressed optimism that the book would serve as a policy and investment roadmap, encouraging stakeholders to harness the state’s economic potential.

Olaosebikan urged foreign investors and key Nigerian private sector operators to attend the book launch scheduled to hold at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, where copies of the publication would be made available to participants.
