Vice-President Kashim Shettima on Wednesday led a Federal Government delegation to console the Minister of Environment, Malam Balarabe Lawal, over the passing of his mother, Hajiya Dayyabatu Lawal.
The delegation included the Ministers of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, Transportation, Sa’idu Alkali, and State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari, along with other dignitaries. On arrival, Shettima also paid homage to the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmed Bamalli.
Praying for the deceased, Shettima asked Allah to grant her eternal rest and reward her with Aljannat Firdaus, while giving her family, the Zazzau Emirate, and Kaduna State the strength to bear the loss. He described her passing as a great loss to the nation.
Malam Lawal thanked Shettima for his support, describing the visit as a reflection of leadership, solidarity, and compassion, and said it brought comfort during a difficult time.
