Victor Osimhen has officially agreed to a three-year deal with Al-Hilal, effectively sidelining Premier League clubs Chelsea and Manchester United in their attempts to sign the talented Nigerian forward.
After failing to secure a move to Chelsea during the final hours of the transfer window, Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Napoli last year. The 26-year-old has had a stellar season in Turkey, drawing interest from several top clubs.
According to Al-Riyadh, a Saudi newspaper, Osimhen’s contract with Al-Hilal is now in place, as the club aims to integrate him into their squad for the forthcoming FIFA Club World Cup next month.
Moreover, Al-Hilal is willing to meet the €75 million release clause stipulated in Osimhen’s Napoli contract, following productive negotiations about the transfer.
At Galatasaray, Osimhen made a remarkable impact, scoring 36 goals in 40 matches across various competitions, and contributing significantly to the team’s triumph in both the Turkish league and cup this season.
