Victim of Train Attack Identifies Abductor at Kaduna Mosque

M. B. Muhammad, a former passenger taken hostage during the 2022 Kaduna train attack, has shared a shocking experience of encountering one of his alleged captors at a mosque in Kaduna State.

The incident took place recently at Shema Mosque, located near Bakin Ruwa Junction in the Rigasa area of Igabi Local Government.

Muhammad was taken aback when he recognized the individual, identified as Abubakar, while attending prayers at the mosque.

In a post on social media, he recounted: “Last night, after completing the Isha’i prayer at Shema Mosque near Bakin Ruwa Junction in Kaduna, I unexpectedly came across one of the men who kidnapped us during the AK-9 train attack on March 28, 2022, while traveling from Abuja to Kaduna.

“His name is Abubakar. He claimed to have repented and abandoned his life of terrorism, stating that he is now working as a motorcycle (okada) rider.

“During our extensive conversation, I discovered that some of the kidnappers had been killed, while others persisted in their acts of terror.

“Ultimately, I told him that I forgave them, and I offered him some charity due to the condition I found him in. Oh Lord of all the worlds, guide us all and guide them as well,” he expressed.
