The Governing Council of Usmanu Danfodio University Sokoto (UDUS), has approved the promotion of nine academic staff to the rank of professors.
This is contained in a statement on Monday in Sokoto signed by the UDUS Director of Information, Mr Sama’ila Yauri.
Yauri said the approval was sequeled to presentation of promotion exercise results during the 172 Governing Council Council meeting chaired by the Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega.
According to him, four staff were also promoted to Deputy Librarians, four as Deputy Bursars, three Deputy Registrars and two Chief Technologists.
He said that Jega expressed satisfaction over the exercise and urged the promoted academics and non academics staff to live up to expectations.
He said that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Bashir Garba, congratulated the newly promoted staff and urged them to reciprocate by being more dedicated to their duties. (NAN)
