The issue of the U.S. nuclear fuel at the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant (ZNPP) most likely to be included in the agenda of the next consultations between Russia and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom CEO Alexey Likhachev told RIA Novosti.
IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi will probably take place before the end of this week, most likely in Kaliningrad, according to Likhachev.
“It can be said that there is a high probability that they (issues related to the U.S. nuclear fuel at the ZNPP) will be included in the agenda of the next meeting.
But now it is very difficult to predict in what context,” Likhachev said.
The discussion of the problem of the U.S. nuclear fuel at the ZNPP at a meeting with Grossi will depend on the IAEA’s readiness to solve it, the Rosatom head added. (RIA/NAN)
