Trump Sets 10–12 Day Deadline For Putin To Begin Ukraine Ceasefire Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced a new deadline of 10 to 12 days for Russian President Vladimir Putin to begin negotiations aimed at ending the war in Ukraine.

Trump made the statement during a meeting with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer in Scotland, stressing the urgency of diplomatic engagement.

“There is no reason in waiting,” Trump said, expressing frustration over delays in ceasefire talks.

When pressed by reporters on the timeline, he added:

“I am going to make a new deadline of about 10 or 12 days from today.”

The U.S. President has repeatedly pledged to bring the war to a swift end if re-elected, and this latest ultimatum signals a more assertive stance.

There has been no immediate response from the Kremlin. The international community continues to watch closely for signs of de-escalation in a conflict that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced millions since it began.
