Former Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa (retd.), on Monday held a private meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Musa arrived at the State House at exactly 7:03 p.m., marking his first public visit to the Villa since his retirement from service on October 24, 2025.
The meeting comes amid heightened security concerns across parts of the North, following the abduction of schoolgirls in Maga, Kebbi State, the attack in Eruku, Kwara State, and the kidnapping of Catholic schoolchildren in Minna, Niger State.
Security agencies have, in recent days, intensified counter-terrorism and anti-kidnapping operations across the North-West and North-Central regions in response to the incidents.
General Musa, who served as Chief of Defence Staff from June 2023 until his retirement in 2025, oversaw several major joint military operations targeting banditry and terrorism during his tenure.
