President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated three Nigerian students for emerging as world champions at the 2025 TeenEagle Global Competition held in London, United Kingdom.
The students — Nafisa Aminu, Rukayya Fema, and Hadiza Kalli — earned top honours in English communication and debate, bringing pride and global recognition to Nigeria.
In a statement released on Wednesday in Abuja by his spokesperson, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, the President commended the trio for their outstanding performances and described them as “shining examples of Nigeria’s promising future.”
Nafisa Aminu, 17, was named Overall Best in English Language Skills; 15-year-old Rukayya Fema won in the Debate Category; while Hadiza Kalli clinched the Outstanding Talent Award (Gold Medal).
President Tinubu said their achievements highlight the capacity of Nigeria’s education system to nurture world-class talent, noting that “the future of the nation is brighter with many of its youth emerging as repositories of excellence.”
He reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritising education, describing it as “the cornerstone of national development.” He cited the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a major initiative aimed at removing financial barriers for deserving students.
The President urged the three champions to remain focused on their academic pursuits and wished them continued success in the future.
