President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr Olanipekun Olukoyede, on his birthday, applauding his bold leadership and commitment to Nigeria’s anti-corruption drive.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday in Abuja by Presidential Spokesperson, Mr Bayo Onanuga.
Tinubu praised Olukoyede’s professionalism, courage, and dedication in steering the EFCC’s mission to eliminate financial and economic crimes across the country.
He commended the EFCC Chairman’s commitment to transparency, institutional reforms, and efforts to strengthen the nation’s anti-graft framework.
The President also lauded the establishment of a special task force targeting currency offences, including naira abuse and economic dollarisation, as well as Olukoyede’s strategic initiatives in combating cybercrime and economic sabotage through innovative enforcement mechanisms.
Tinubu prayed for God’s continued guidance for Olukoyede, noting his resolve to help free Nigeria from the deep-rooted economic challenges that have constrained national development for years.
