Armed terrorists have attacked Wake community in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, killing at least eight people and kidnapping several others.
Witnesses told local media that many residents sustained gunshot wounds and were taken to Saint Gerard Catholic Hospital for treatment.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement, but local government officials said they would provide updates after ensuring the injured received urgent medical care.
The assault adds to a series of deadly raids on rural communities in Kaduna State, where banditry and kidnappings have intensified despite ongoing military operations.
