“Siblings Snatched by Suspected Herdsmen in Imo Community: A Call for Urgent Action”

In a distressing incident, two siblings, Master Prince Ugwuegbulem and Miss Chizitere Ugwuegbulem, were reportedly abducted by suspected herdsmen in the Umuoka area of the Amakaohia-Ubi Autonomous Community, located within the Owerri West Local Government Area of Imo State.

The abduction took place on Thursday at approximately 8:30 pm, just 200 metres from their home.

Mr. Marvelous Ngoha, a local resident and CEO of the Amakohia Ubi Vanguard, confirmed the incident, stating, “The siblings, children of engineer Emeka Ugwuegbulem, were kidnapped while returning home.”

Initial demands from the kidnappers started at ₦100 million but were subsequently reduced to ₦9 million, according to various sources.

The community, now in a state of fear, has urgently appealed for government intervention. Reports indicate that the family has officially notified the police, and local residents are advocating for prompt action to secure the safe return of the children.
