Shi’ite members in Bakin Ruwa Area of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State Thursday clashed with Security operatives attached to the convoy of the Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai.
The governor’s convoy ran into the Shi’ite members while they were performing their weekly procession at Bakin Ruwa along Nnamdi Azikiwe Expressway.
A Shi’ite representative in Kaduna state, Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the incident to reporters, said none of those killed was their member.
The spokesperson of the Kaduna State Police Command, DSP Mohammed Jalige, also confirmed the incident. According to him, investigation is ongoing anda statement would be issued later.
