Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Monday commiserated with the former Governor of Kaduna state, Nasir El-Rufai over the death of his mother, late Hajiya Fatima Umma.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports the late matriarch of the El-Rufai family passed away on March 27 in Cairo, Egypt, at the age of 96.
Shettima, who paid a condolence visit to the family, at their Abuja residence, called for collective efforts in uniting the nation, irrespective of political differences.
Shettima prayed for the repose of the soul of the late matriarch of the El-Rufai family.
NAN reports the vice president was received at the residence by a former Governor of Bauchi state, Ahmad Muazu and a former Chief of Army Staff, retired Gen. Abdurrahman Dambazau, among others.
