Senate President Pays Tribute To Late Ex-IGP Solomon Arase

Senate President Godswill Akpabio has joined other Nigerians in mourning former Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Dr Solomon Arase, who passed away on Monday.

In a condolence message issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Eseme Eyiboh, Akpabio described Arase as “a rounded professional” who left an enduring legacy in the Nigerian Police Force.

He noted that Arase was not only a reformer but also a gentleman and a respected security expert whose sudden death had left the nation in mourning.

“On behalf of my family, my constituents and the entire National Assembly, I extend heartfelt condolences to his family, the Nigerian Police community, Inspector-General Kayode Egbetokun, and the people of Edo State. May God grant his soul eternal rest,” Akpabio said.
