Speaking during the presentation, Chairman of KGSSTF, Mr Omeiza Umar said the initiative reflected the unwavering commitment of the Trust Fund to continuously support security agencies with essential operational logistics required to effectively combat crime and safeguard lives and property.
Umar noted that mobility remained one of the most vital tools for modern security operations, stressing that the patrol vehicles would significantly improve patrol coverage, enhance response time to distress calls, and strengthen coordination among security agencies.
The chairman further urged the agencies to ensure proper utilisation and maintenance of the vehicles, stressing that the support is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and boosting morale of personnel on the field.
According to him, the intervention is part of the Trust Fund’s broader mandate to complement government’s efforts in ensuring a safe and secure environment for residents and investors in Kogi.
The chairman also commended the dedication and sacrifices of security personnel serving across the state, assuring that the Trust Fund would continue to explore ways of providing additional support to enhance their operational effectiveness.
He further expressed deep appreciation to the state government, corporate organisations, and public-spirited individuals, whose continued contributions to the Fund made such interventions possible.
Responding on behalf of the agencies, the NSCDC Commandant in the state, Mr Olumide Aletan expressed gratitude to KGSSTF for the gesture, describing the support as timely and impactful.
He assured that the vehicles would be deployed strictly for operational duties to further strengthen security presence and protect communities across the state.
