Saudi Arabia’s King And Crown Prince Mourn Nigeria’s Former President Buhari

Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has extended heartfelt condolences to President Bola Tinubu and the people of Nigeria over the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.

In an official statement, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques described Buhari’s passing as a significant loss, offering prayers and sympathy to Buhari’s family and to the Nigerian nation.

Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman also joined in mourning the former leader, expressing his sorrow and praying that Buhari’s soul be granted Aljannat Firdaus.

Buhari, aged 82, died on Sunday in a London hospital after a period of illness. His burial is scheduled for Tuesday in Daura, Katsina State.

To honour the late president’s memory, the Nigerian government declared Tuesday a public holiday and ordered national flags to be flown at half-mast during a week-long mourning period.
