Sanwo-Olu Will Deepen Creative-Sector Investment In 2026 — APC

The Lagos State APC says improvements in security, transport and event infrastructure have made Lagos the preferred destination for major concerts and festivals, promising even greater support for the creative industry in 2026.

APC spokesman Seye Oladejo praised the state’s model, which integrates entertainment, technology, tourism and entrepreneurship under the THEMES development agenda. He added that while other states were still debating how to grow their creative economies, Lagos was already attracting global attention and exporting its development blueprint.

Oladejo commended entertainers, content creators, designers, producers and digital innovators for driving Lagos’ cultural vibrancy, saying their creativity was “the jet fuel” and the city “the runway”.

He assured residents that the Sanwo-Olu administration would expand tourism infrastructure, strengthen security and widen opportunities for young entrepreneurs in the coming year.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Detty December Fest, running from 6 to 31 December, is one of Nigeria’s largest end-of-year cultural celebrations.
