Gov Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State has condoled with his Kogi State counterpart, Gov. Ahmed Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Sani Ododo, who passed away on Aug. 18 at the age of 83.
Sanwo-Olu, in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, described the late Ododo as a fulfilled man who impacted his generation positively and left behind enduring legacies.
The Lagos governor, who also chairs the South-West Governors Forum, extended his condolences to the Ododo family, friends, associates, and the people of Kogi State.
“On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, the people and government of Lagos State, I sympathise with my brother, Gov. Ahmed Ododo, on the demise of his beloved father,” Sanwo-Olu said.
He noted that the wise counsel of the late patriarch would be greatly missed and prayed God to grant him eternal rest as well as give the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
