President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has issued a stern warning to perpetrators of attacks, kidnappings, and other threats to national security, declaring that his administration will ensure they face the full weight of the law.
The announcement came during an extended security briefing at the State House, Abuja, where the President received updates from top defence and intelligence officials, including the Chief of Defence Staff, Chief of Army Staff, Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).
“We are reviewing the latest reports and taking decisive actions to stabilise affected areas and protect our citizens. I am receiving continuous briefings and have directed our security services to move with speed, precision, and absolute resolve,” Tinubu said.
The President emphasised his administration’s unwavering commitment to protecting every Nigerian, warning that criminal networks will no longer operate with impunity.
“As President, I am fully committed to the security of all Nigerians. Those who threaten the peace and security of our nation will face the full weight of the law. Nigeria will prevail,” he affirmed.
