President Bola Tinubu is on course to secure overwhelming support from Nigeria’s South-West region in the 2027 elections, according to Rep. Aderemi Oseni, Chairman of the House Committee on the Federal Road Maintenance Agency (FERMA).
Oseni, who represents Ibarapa East/Ido in the House of Representatives, said political stakeholders and grassroots groups had already begun working to deliver a decisive re-election victory for the president.
He pointed to the activities of the Remi Oseni Committee of Friends (ROCOF), a mobilisation platform with more than 200,000 members across the South-West. The group, he explained, has set a target of mobilising 10 million votes for Tinubu while pushing for at least 75 per cent voter turnout in the region.
“ROCOF is not a substitute for the ruling APC but a civic forum that unites people across political divides who are committed to building a fair, prosperous, and accountable Nigeria,” Oseni said. He stressed that preparations for continuous voter registration were already under way.
The lawmaker also highlighted Tinubu’s performance in infrastructure delivery, saying the government had made significant progress with federal road rehabilitation and new projects. He cited the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Sokoto-Badagry Superhighway, and upgrades to the Ibadan-Ilesa-Akure-Benin corridor as examples of transformative projects.
According to Oseni, the administration’s achievements are “laying the foundation of a recalibrated Nigeria with a competitive economy and modern governance structures.” He criticised opposition groups for “ignoring visible progress” and focusing only on national challenges.
“The pace of work under President Tinubu demonstrates a clear break from the past and a transition towards sustainable development,” he added.
