The National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has indefinitely postponed the screening of aspirants ahead of its 2025 elective national convention.
The screening exercise was initially scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 28 October. However, in a statement issued on Monday in Abuja, the NCOC Chairman and Governor of Adamawa State, Ahmadu Fintiri, said the postponement was due to unforeseen circumstances.
Fintiri said a new date would be announced in due course and apologised for any inconvenience caused.
“The NCOC regrets any inconveniences caused by the postponement. All aspirants and members of our party should note the foregoing and be guided accordingly,” the statement read.
He reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to organising a credible and seamless national convention, which is scheduled to take place from Saturday, 15 November to Sunday, 16 November 2025, in Ibadan, Oyo State.
