PDP Appoints Sen Ben Ndi Obi As Secretary Of National Convention Committee

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed Senator Ben Ndi Obi as the Secretary of the National Convention Organising Committee (NCOC) for the party’s 2025 elective national convention.

The appointment was announced in a statement issued on Wednesday in Abuja by the PDP National Publicity Secretary and Secretary of the NCOC’s Publicity and Communication Sub-committee, Debo Ologunagba.

Senator Obi replaces Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, who on Tuesday formally defected from the PDP to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Ologunagba stated that the NWC commended the NCOC, chaired by Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, for its tireless efforts toward ensuring the success of the 2025 national convention.

He also urged all party leaders, key stakeholders, and members to remain united, steadfast, and focused on the successful conduct of the convention and the continued progress of the PDP.
