Osun, Borno, Lagos Top INEC’s Online Voter Registration Update

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that Osun, Borno and Lagos States are leading in online pre-registration in the ongoing nationwide Continuous Voter Registration (CVR).

According to statistics released on the commission’s official social media platforms on Tuesday, online pre-registration stood at 5,385,060, while completed physical registration was 764,695 as of September 21.

Of the online registrations, 2,799,844 were female and 2,585,216 male. Youths aged 18–34 dominated the figure with 3,604,668, while students accounted for 1,354,274. Persons Living with Disabilities (PWDs) numbered 114,713.

For the 764,695 completed physical registrations, 418,750 were female and 345,945 male. Youths made up 565,927, students 279,172, and PWDs 10,838.

State-by-state analysis showed that Osun led the online pre-registration with 578,904 registrants (10.75%), followed by Borno with 561,666 (10.43%) and Lagos with 530,180 (9.85%).

At the bottom of the list, Enugu recorded 2,931 registrants (0.05%), followed by Abia with 4,608 (0.09%) and Edo with 9,670 (0.18%).
