Oodua People’s Congress Offers Partnership In Ondo Security Drive

The Ondo State branch of the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) says it is prepared to collaborate with authorities to confront insecurity in the state.

State Coordinator Pius Ogunsanya, in a statement issued Sunday in Okitipupa, said the organisation was committed to working with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to combat recurring farmer-herder clashes and other violent incidents.

“The OPC in Ondo is determined to support ongoing security operations and help return the state to its former status as one of the country’s most peaceful,” Ogunsanya said.

He appealed to the governor to accept the OPC’s “genuine desire” to partner with law enforcement in providing a permanent solution to insecurity.
