Rep Okunjimi Odimayo, Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, has congratulated Gov. Lucky Aiyedatiwa and his deputy, Mr Olayide Adelami, on their inauguration on Monday.
In his congratulatory message signed by his media aide, Mr Victor Adedeji on Tuesday in Okitipupa, Odimayo described the swearing-in as historic and expressed confidence in their ability to lead Ondo state to greater development.
He praised the governor’s commitment to continuity and progress, adding that his administration would build upon the foundation laid in the state’s development trajectory since his assumption of office on Dec. 26, 2023 as governor of the state.
Odimayo assured of his unwavering support for Aiyedatiwa, pledging to work closely with the administration in advancing the interests of the people of Okitipupa/Irele Federal Constituency and the state at large.
“As we witness this historic moment, I urge all stakeholders to join hands with Aiyedatiwa in building a more prosperous Ondo State as his vision and dedication to governance will undoubtedly drive sustainable development,” he said.
The House of Representatives member also applauded Aiyedatiwa on the appointments made shortly after his inauguration.
The News Agency of Nigeria ((NAN) reports that Aiyedatiwa immediately appointed Dr Taiwo Fasoranti as Secretary to the State Government (SSG), while Dr Kayode Ajulo (SAN) was retained as Attorney General and Commissioners for Justice.
Also reappointed was the Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Omowunmi Isaac, and Prof. Simidele Odimayo as Special Adviser on Health
Others are Johnson Alabi as Special Adviser on Power, Dr Seun Osemawe as Special Adviser on Women Affairs and Mr Bola Taiwo as Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties, pending confirmation by the state Assembly.
Odimayo, who is the Chairman, House Committee on Population Commission, lauded the governor’s commitment to rewarding competence and dedication.
He describing the appointments as a reflection of the administration’s focus on good governance.
According to him, the appointments of seasoned professionals and technocrats would strengthen the state’s developmental agenda.
“I extend my heartfelt congratulations to all appointees, their reappointment is a testament to their exceptional service and dedication to the state.
” I have no doubt that they will continue to bring innovation and excellence to their respective offices,” he said.
Odimayo, urged the appointees to justify the trust reposed in them by working for the progress of the state. (NAN)
