Nigeria’s Cherubim and Seraphim Church of Nigeria has marked its centenary with a call for prayers for peace, unity, and leadership in the country.
At the grand finale in Maba, Ogun State, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, represented by his wife Bola, said the milestone was a sign of “divine benevolence,” urging Nigerians to pray for the country’s future.
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, described the anniversary as a lasting legacy of the church’s founder, Baba Aladura Moses Orimolade. He urged worshippers to live lives of positive impact and prayed for President Bola Tinubu’s health and wisdom.
Senior church leaders prayed for a new generation of citizens to drive transformative change in Nigeria.
