The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed no fewer than 1,700 corps members to Bauchi State for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation exercise.
The state’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Jacob Unogwu, disclosed this during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday in Bauchi.
According to Unogwu, registration of prospective corps members will begin on July 30 and conclude at midnight on July 31 at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, located in Ganjuwa Local Government Area.
He further revealed that the swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for August 1, while the orientation programme will run until August 19.
Unogwu emphasized that only prospective corps members who are genuinely certified graduates would be admitted into the camp, as the scheme will conduct discreet screening to prevent impersonation and unauthorized entry.
“Registration dates have been announced to the corps members, and they are advised to adhere strictly to all camp rules and regulations. Defaulters will be sanctioned in accordance with the scheme’s extant rules,” he said.
The PRO also cautioned against embarking on late-night travel, stressing that it poses safety risks. He urged all corps members to arrive at the camp on time, maintain discipline, and comply with the NYSC’s acceptable dress codes.
“Punctuality, diligence, and strict adherence to the camp’s code of conduct are non-negotiable,” Unogwu added.
