Nigerian Pilgrims Begin Second Spiritual Journey From Madinah To Makkah

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) says the first set of Nigerian pilgrims have begun the second leg of their spiritual journey from Madinah to Makkah

NAHCON said this in a statement by its Information Officer, Malam Aminu Kabir on Wednesday in Abuja.

“Today marks the fourth day of the first set of Nigerian pilgrims to arrive in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia, precisely the city of Madina for the 2025 Hajj.

“As a policy agreed upon by stakeholders, pilgrims are to spend four days in Madina before proceeding to Makkah, hence the journey begins today with pilgrims from Bauchi, Imo, Kebbi and Kogi states,’’ he said.

The information officer said that during their stay in Madina, NAHCON provided the pilgrims with accommodation and meal of international standard.

According to him, most of the pilgrims have testified to these efforts, and they commend the commission for the feat.

Meanwhile, NAHCON officials in Makkah have expressed their readiness to receive the Nigerian pilgrims with a warm welcome as they proceed to the next phase of the spiritual journey.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that more Nigerian pilgrims continue to arrive in Madina as the airlift operation progresses.(NAN)
