Nigeria Health Minister Praises Outgoing Katsina Hospital Chief

Nigeria’s Health Minister Ali Pate on Monday praised Dr Bello Suleiman, outgoing Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, for steering the institution to what he called “one of the best among its contemporaries.”

Speaking through a representative at a reception organised by the Hambali Family Union, Pate said Suleiman’s eight-year tenure strengthened the hospital’s services and set a benchmark for leadership. He urged the incoming CMD to consolidate on those gains.

Local dignitaries, including Ajiyan Katsina Alhaji Lamis Dikko and state legislator Ali Abu-Albaba, also commended Suleiman’s record, describing him as an example of commitment in public service.

Suleiman, in response, attributed his achievements to the cooperation of hospital staff and thanked the state government and community leaders for their support. He called on stakeholders to extend the same backing to his successor.
