Nigeria Announces Recruitment Drive For Civil Defence, Immigration, Correctional and Fire Services

The Nigerian Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Board (CDCFIB) has launched a large-scale recruitment campaign for full-time positions across four national paramilitary agencies.

In a public notice issued Monday in Abuja, CDCFIB Secretary, retired Maj.-Gen. Abdulmalik Jubril, encouraged qualified individuals to apply through the board’s official online portal: https://recruitment.cdcfib.org. The application window opens on Thursday and will remain active for three weeks.

Positions are available within the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS), Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), and the Federal Fire Service (FFS). Jubril stressed that the application process is entirely free and warned against submitting applications to more than one agency, which would result in disqualification.

Applicants with university degrees, Higher National Diplomas, nursing or midwifery certifications, and even secondary school qualifications are eligible, depending on the role applied for. The openings range from Superintendent to Assistant Cadres.

Specific roles include medical officers, legal and engineering professionals, as well as positions for diploma and school certificate holders. Applicants must be Nigerian citizens between the ages of 18 and 35, medically fit, and have no criminal or financial misconduct records.

The recruitment effort reflects a broader drive to strengthen Nigeria’s internal security and emergency services workforce amid growing national challenges.
