NCS Fixes October 9 For Junior Cadre Recruitment Exams

Nigeria’s Customs Service will on 9 October hold its second-phase recruitment exams, with thousands of applicants for Inspectorate and Customs Assistant roles set to take part in an online computer-based test (CBT).

The service announced the schedule through its verified social media pages, noting that candidates have been divided into three batches to sit the test on Thursday. Using their National Identification Number (NIN), applicants must log into the official portal to confirm their batch and allotted time.

The Customs Service earlier ran a trial session on 4 October to allow junior cadre candidates to practise using the examination software. According to the agency, the online format reflects its drive to make recruitment more transparent and accessible.

Applicants are required to follow strict guidelines, including sitting the exam only at their assigned time and avoiding multiple logins or switching browser windows. Any breach, officials warned, could affect participation or result in disqualification.

Devices such as calculators and mobile phones are banned during the test, which must be taken only on laptops or desktop computers equipped with webcams.

The exercise is exclusive to Inspectorate and Customs Assistant cadre candidates. The Customs Service clarified that Superintendent cadre applicants are not included in this phase.
