Namadi Sambo Commends Kano Governor’s Reforms Amid Condolence Visit

Former Vice President of Nigeria, Namadi Sambo, has praised Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf for his remarkable commitment to revitalising the state’s infrastructure.

The commendation came during a condolence visit to the governor in Kano, following the passing of respected industrialist and community leader, Alhaji Aminu Dantata. Sambo’s comments were shared in a statement by his spokesperson, Sunusi Dawakin-Tofa, on Monday.

Highlighting the governor’s recent declaration of a state of emergency in education, Sambo described the move as part of “giant strides” that are reshaping Kano’s urban and rural landscapes under Yusuf’s leadership.

Governor Yusuf, while welcoming the delegation, thanked Sambo for his solidarity and encouragement, assuring that his government remains committed to advancing the state through projects focused on public welfare and sustainable development.

Accompanying the former Vice President were the Chairman of Unity Bank, as well as former NEMA Director-General Muhammad Sani Sidi.

In a related gesture, Senator Abubakar Sani Bello, who previously governed Niger State, led another team to offer condolences to Governor Yusuf.
