The Commander, 207 Quick Response Group of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF), Group Captain Kehinde Akinyisade, has pledged support to the Zamfara Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to help reduce road crashes.
Akinyisade made the pledge during a courtesy visit to the FRSC Sector Command in Gusau on Wednesday, stressing that the visit was aimed at cementing the existing cordial relationship between the two agencies.
He described the FRSC as a unique and trusted organisation of the Federal Government, noting its role in clearing road obstructions, sensitising the public on highway use, and rescuing crash victims.
“Hence, we solicit continuous collaboration, especially in drivers’ training and other initiatives to reduce road traffic fatalities and injuries,” he said.
In his remarks, the FRSC Sector Commander, Mr. Aliyu Ma’aji, expressed delight at the visit and assured the NAF commander of maximum cooperation toward achieving zero road crashes in Zamfara.
The visit featured the presentation of a souvenir to the NAF commander.
