The Chief of Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshall Hassan Abubakar has appealed for enhanced collaboration and exchanges between Nigeria Military School(NMS) Zaria and Air Force Military School Jos.
Abubakar made the appeal as the Special Guest of Honour and Reviewing Officer for the regimental parade in his honour at the Nigeria Military School Zaria on Wednesday.
The paraded is part of activities lined up for the celebration of the 71st anniversary of the school.
He said that the collaboration between the NMS and the Air Force would help strengthen military education system, foster synergy and promote knowledge sharing across all services.
The chief of Air Staff, who was a former student of the school, reaffirmed his commitment to the progress and development of the institution.
“As an old boy of this prestigious school, today is truly a homecoming for me.
“NMS laid the foundation for who I am today, not just as a military officer, but as a leader, a patriot, and as a Nigerian committed to the unity, progress and defence of our fatherland,” he said.
The CAS while commending the Ex-boys Association of the school, sued for for collective commitment to the continued growth and transformation of the school.
Earlier, retired Lt. Commander Sunday Ngegu, President NMS Ex-boys Association commended the Chief of Air Staff for the support to the association
He appreciated the CAS for inaugurating the remodelled Medical Reception Station (RMS) Cook House, Dining hall among other projects executed by the Association. (NAN)
