Kwara Pilgrims Board Announces ₦8.5m Hajj Package For 2026

Intending pilgrims from Kwara State preparing for the 2026 Hajj will be required to pay ₦8.5 million as airfare, according to the state’s Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board.

The board’s Executive Secretary, Alhaji AbdulSalam Abdulkadir, said the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) had allotted 3,762 places to the state. He noted that the announcement of the fare and slot allocation signals the formal commencement of preparations for the pilgrimage.

Abdulkadir outlined the conditions for participation, including possession of an active international passport and full compliance with registration deadlines. He revealed that Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq had authorised an initial ₦5 million deposit option to ease payments for residents, with the outstanding balance required before 8 October.

He commended the governor’s commitment to ensuring pilgrims from Kwara enjoy a comfortable and rewarding spiritual journey in both Nigeria and Saudi Arabia.
