Former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, has joined the growing list of Nigerian leaders mourning the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari, calling it a profound loss for the nation.
In a condolence message personally signed and released to journalists on Sunday, Kwankwaso said he was “profoundly shocked” to learn of Buhari’s death.
“Buhari’s life was marked by decades of public service and sacrifice, both as a military leader and as a democratically elected president,” Kwankwaso noted.
He offered condolences to Buhari’s family, the government and people of Katsina State, and Nigerians across the country.
Kwankwaso praised the late president for his efforts toward fostering national unity and stability and prayed that Allah forgive his shortcomings and grant him eternal rest.
“This is a difficult moment for our nation as we mourn a leader who devoted many years of his life to serving our country,” he concluded.
