The Chairman, Board of Trustees of the Industrial Training Fund, Hon. Dattuwa Ali Kumo, has extolled the leadership qualities of Gombe State Governor, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, describing him as “a pillar of progress and a servant-leader whose tenure has transformed the state.”
In a goodwill message to mark the governor’s 64th birthday, Kumo commended Yahaya’s visionary approach to governance, anchored on fiscal discipline, strategic planning, and inclusive development.
He said the governor’s administration had turned Gombe into a model for effective leadership and accountability in Nigeria.
Under Yahaya’s watch, he noted, the Gombe State Development Plan (2021–2030) had become a national reference point for sustainable growth, driving investment in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and environmental protection.
Kumo particularly praised the Gombe Goes Green (3G) project, which has planted millions of trees across the state, describing it as a bold step towards climate resilience and ecological restoration.
“Governor Yahaya is not just building roads and hospitals — he is building a future,” Kumo said. “His leadership has restored dignity to governance and hope to the people.”
He also lauded the administration’s efforts in rural electrification, road construction, and youth empowerment, noting that Gombe’s improved business environment had drawn investors and created jobs.
Kumo, a respected figure in human capital development, highlighted his own commitment through the Industrial Training Fund to equipping thousands of Nigerians with vocational and technical skills to become self-reliant.
He said his focus on skill acquisition and industry partnerships continued to strengthen employment opportunities across the country.
“On this special day, I pray that Almighty Allah continues to bless Governor Yahaya with wisdom, strength, and enduring success,” Kumo added. “Gombe State is fortunate to have a leader whose heart beats for the people.”
