His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco has offered heartfelt condolences to President Bola Tinubu and the Nigerian people following the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari.
In a statement shared on Tuesday, the Moroccan monarch described Buhari’s passing as a “sad occurrence,” extending his sympathy to Buhari’s family and all Nigerians.
King Mohammed VI praised the late Nigerian leader as an “illustrious” figure who worked tirelessly to advance his country’s development and the well-being of its citizens.
Reflecting on his own engagements with Buhari, the King highlighted how their working sessions had led to promising joint development projects, helping to deepen ties and foster a new era of cooperation between Nigeria and Morocco.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the bereaved,” he concluded, noting that Buhari’s contributions would be remembered as part of the enduring friendship between the two nations.
