Bello Matawalle, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Defence, has denounced the attack on Government Girls’ Comprehensive Senior Secondary School in Maga, Kebbi State, which resulted in the abduction of 25 students and the death of Vice Principal Malam Hassan Makuku.
Speaking in Abuja on Monday, Matawalle said President Bola Tinubu had instructed security agencies to act swiftly and collaboratively to ensure the safe release of the girls. He called on the forces to “act decisively and in concert” to bring the culprits to justice.
The minister also appealed for calm in the affected communities and expressed sympathy to the bereaved family, praying for comfort and strength during this difficult time.
