A second batch of 550 Hajj pilgrims from Nigeria’s Kano State has departed Saudi Arabia, marking a continued phase of return journeys following the conclusion of the 2025 Hajj.
The flight, which left King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah, is headed to Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport. It included pilgrims from six local government areas of the state, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Alhaji Lamin Danbappa, Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, conveyed his appreciation to Almighty Allah for the successful completion of the pilgrimage and the safe return process underway.
He extended special thanks to the Kano State Government for its logistical and financial support, which contributed to the seamless execution of the pilgrimage.
Danbappa urged pilgrims to reflect on the spiritual lessons of Hajj and remain committed to values of unity, discipline, and sincere worship in their everyday lives.
The return flights for Kano pilgrims are expected to continue in phases as part of the organised repatriation process.
