Kaduna Police Command Deploys Personnel, Issue Safety Advice Ahead Of Eid-el-Fitr

The Police Command in Kaduna State says it has intensified security measures to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.

The state Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Muhammad, said this in a statement issued by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, DSP Mansir Hassan, on Wednesday in Kaduna.

He said that tactical commanders, intelligence operatives, and other personnel have been deployed to key locations, including Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, markets, highways, and other strategic areas.

According to him, the deployment is aimed at safeguarding lives and property before, during, and after the festivities.

Muhammad reiterated that the use of knockouts, fireworks, and other explosives remained prohibited, warning that violators would be arrested and prosecuted.

He urged parents and guardians to caution their children and wards against the use of such items and encouraged residents to report offenders to the nearest police station.

He also advised residents to remain vigilant and promptly report any suspicious movements, persons, or objects to security agencies.

The commissioner congratulated the Muslim faithful on the successful completion of the Ramadan fast.

He prayed for peace, unity, and prosperity in Kaduna State and the country, and wished residents a peaceful and joyous Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
