Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has urged newly deployed members of Nigeria’s National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) to carry out their service year with dedication, integrity and respect for their host communities.
Delivering the governor’s message at the closing of the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation in Kaduna, Commissioner for Human Services and Social Development Hajiya Rabi Salisu said corps members should be conscious of security and take advantage of post-camp skills training to secure their future.
“The SAED programme provides an opportunity for you to acquire entrepreneurial skills that will make you self-reliant and potentially employers of labour,” she said on his behalf.
NYSC Kaduna Coordinator, Mrs Efeke Dadaza, noted that the corps members had shown discipline and actively engaged in camp activities, making them ready for their primary assignments. She encouraged them to identify the needs of their host communities and make a positive impact through community development service.
Dadaza expressed appreciation to the state government and stakeholders for supporting the corps members’ welfare and the success of the orientation exercise.
