A middle-aged man known as Ogbonna, or Mourinho, has reportedly killed his ex-girlfriend, Chisom Ayogu, at his home in the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
A report from Vanguard indicates that the deceased, who hailed from the Amufie community in the Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, had come to Mourinho’s residence on New Anglican Road, Nsukka, to inform him about her impending marriage.
Unfortunately, the visit turned tragic as a disagreement ensued, resulting in Mourinho violently assaulting his former partner for reasons that have yet to be determined.
Witnesses stated that by the time assistance arrived, Chisom Ayogu was already in a coma. An anonymous local resident confirmed that she was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
Sources have revealed that Ogbonna, who also originates from the Igogoro community in Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, has been arrested by the police for interrogation.
