Jaymoni Approves Solar Borehole For Ochochi Community

Award-winning Nigerian street artist and CEO of Jaytech Group, Amb. Christopher Ogar Ogar (known as Jaymoni), has sanctioned the installation of a solar-powered borehole for the Ochochi community in Okpoma, Yala Local Government Area, Cross River State.
Jaymoni, co-owner of the Wayward brand, made this decision after hearing about the local residents’ struggles from Amb Dr. Michael Sunday Emaluji (Ochochi 001). The borehole project, estimated to cost around N15 million, is set to commence soon, pending the identification of a location by community leaders.
Commenting on the initiative, Jaymoni stated, “Charity begins at home, and we must alleviate the suffering of our people. After discussions with my elder brother and mentor, Amb Dr. Emaluji, I approved the construction of a solar-powered borehole in Ochochi. Access to water has long been a challenge for our community, and this gesture aims to ease their difficulties.”
He added, “Times are hard, and many are enduring struggles. We have been doing what we can to support those in need, and we appreciate the guidance we’ve received. Let us unite to foster a healthier community and society where we can all prosper.”
Mr Emmanuel Ekwo, Jaymoni’s manager, reiterated the company’s dedication to supporting local communities and complementing governmental efforts.
Amb Dr. Emaluji expressed gratitude to Jaymoni on behalf of the Ochochi people, thanking him for his generosity and swift action, and assured that the project would be executed to a high standard.
Recently, Jaymoni received the African Entertainment Humanitarian Award at the African Legendary Awards 2025 in Abuja on April 5, recognising his significant charitable contributions across Lagos, Ogun, and Cross River States, positively impacting many lives.
